Stearns County Ditch 06 (CD06)

Stearns County Ditch 06 (CD06) was established in 1900. The ditch is approximately 2.6 miles in length and contains roughly 1,159 benefited acres. CD06 is not considered public waters.

Stearns County is in the final stages of completing a Redetermination of Benefits for County Ditch 28 (CD 28). County Ditch 06 drains directly into County Ditch 28. In other words, CD 28 is the outlet for CD 06’s water. Because CD 28 carries the water that comes from CD 06, CD 06 receives what state drainage law calls an “outlet benefit.”

A letter has been mailed to property owners with further explaination of this process.

There are two meetings scheduled where the Viewers will be available to answer individual questions after a general informational presentation on June 25th, and the final heading is scheduled for July 16th. Meeting details are below:
