Stearns County Ditch 13 (CD13) was established in 1904. The ditch is approximately 1.4 miles in length and contains roughly 492 benefited acres.
CD13 is not considered public waters.

1/8/2023 - Proposed Special Tax Assessments
Proposed Special Tax Assessments for 2023 drainage system costs will be presented to the Stearns County Drainage Authority as the November 14, 2023 Board of Commissioners meeting. The assessment is necessary to pay for costs incurred by the drainage system in 2023. If approved, the special assessments will be certified to the 2024 property tax statements for property owners within the drainage system.

During the past year, there has not been any maintenance to the ditch, and Stearns County has not received any concerns about the condition of the ditch from property owners. The ditch system is scheduled for its legally required inspection in 2022. The inspection report is expected to be available in early 2023. Ditch inspections and any maintenance performed next year will generate costs for the drainage system which are paid by all property owners within the system through special assessments.
