Judicial Ditch 03 (JD03)
Judicial Ditch 03 (JD03) was established in 1920. A Judicial Ditch benefits multiple counties. JD03 is partially in Kandiyohi County and partially in Stearns County. The portion of the ditch that is in Stearns County is 15.5 miles in length and contains roughly 5,086 benefited acres.
JD03 is both a legal county ditch and partially is public waters. The DNR requires review of any drainage projects that may impact public waters and may also require a permit for work in the ditch or a letter of permission.

11/8/2023 - Proposed Special Tax Assessments
Proposed Special Tax Assessments for 2023 drainage system costs will be presented to the Stearns County Drainage Authority as the November 14, 2023 Board of Commissioners meeting. The assessment is necessary to pay for costs incurred by the drainage system in 2023. If approved, the special assessments will be certified to the 2024 property tax statements for property owners within the drainage system.
