Stearns County Ditch 25 (CD25) Estimated Project Costs


In accordance with Minnesota Drainage law, costs associated with ditch repairs and administration of the ditch, will be charged back to the property owners that are part of the ditch system. The cost numbers are for informational purposes and are subject to change. The dollar amounts provided are based on the vendor bids that Stearns County has received.

The vendor has broken down the ditch repair project into 5 areas represented in the Ditch Repair Plan document as Area A, Area B, Area C, Area D, and Area E.

Each project area has a cost associated with it, plus there will be a $2,000 mobilization cost.

Repair Plan Area A: $1,030.00
Repair Plan Area B: $6,324.00
Repair Plan Area C: $6,942.00
Repair Plan Area D: $11,330.00
Repair Plan Area E: $3,605.00

Stearns County has incurred costs to County Ditch 25 in the amount of $7,571.41. This includes resources spent on inspection of the ditch and field data collection.

At the June 20, 2017 Stearns County Board of Commissioners Meeting, the Board acting as the Drainage Authority for County Ditch 25 approved a repair to the ditch. The approved project will move forward with the entire ditch being cleaned. At a total cost of $31,231.00 plus county incurred costs.

At the October 31, 2017 Stearns County Board of Commissioners Meeting, the Board acting as the Drainage Authority for County Ditch 25 approved assessing a portion of this project to cover inspection and field data collection costs already incurred on this project, in the amount of $7,571.40.
