Stearns County Ditch 39 (CD39) Status Updates

CD39 Status Update 11/21/2018

At the Jan 23, 2018 Board of Commissioners meeting, motion was passed authorizing staff to repair CD39 with a budget of $20,000. The work was completed during the summer of 2018. As part of the board action, letters have been mailed to every property owner within the ditch benefit with a special assessment to pay for the project.

The amount assessed to property owner taxes will begin in 2019 and amortized over 3years ending in 2021.

CD39 Status Update 7/26/2018

The excavation and seeding of the repair is now complete. Final costs for excavation and staff time will be calculated and assessed to CD39 system property owners for 2019 property taxes.

CD39 Status Update 7/16/2018

The repair project has begun with excavating underway. The project is expected to last six days.

CD39 Status Update 3/14/2018

Vendor bids were submitted with Dullinger Excavating being the low bid of $12,000. The final cost of the project will also include Stearns County Survey Crew field time related to oversight and verification of elevations during the repair.

CD39 Status Update 1/23/2018

A public hearing was held on January 23, 2018 to consider a repair to CD39. After hearing public testimony, the Stearns County Board of Commissioners acting as the CD39 Drainage Authority approved the repair of a portion of CD39.

CD39 Status Update 1/4/2018

The preliminary budget for a repair to CD39 is $20,000. This number is an estimate and is subject to change based on bidding project to vendors, public input and Board of Commissioners input. If the project changes, the cost will change. This is a proposed project and has not been approved at this time. The Board of Commissioners will consider approving a repair on Jan 23 at 10:05am.

CD39 Status Update 12/22/2017

The Stearns County Board of Commissioners acting as the Drainage Authority will hold a public hearing on January 23, 2018 at 10:05 am to consider a repair to County Ditch 39 (CD39). The public hearing will take place in the Stearns County Administration Center Board Room located on the first floor at 705 Courthouse Sq Saint Cloud, MN 56303.
